Meet the Designer

Vanessa Avenorgbo the founder and creative director of B’VENAJ developed an interest in fashion at the early age of 13 where she would take bits and pieces from her mothers scrap materials to design clothes for her dolls. After much interest in designing, she extended her creativity to designing her own clothes which was admired by family and friends.

With a strong background of fashion designers, it was no surprise that Vanessa’s genes screamed fashion as both her grandmother and mother were fashion designers in their time. The immense support from family motivated Vanessa to persue fashion as a career.

In 2011 Vanessa graduated Vogue Style school of fashion and design, now JACCD under the leadership of Joyce Ababio, with an excellent student award. After graduating, she interned with Joyce Ababio for a year and in 2013 launched the B’venaj shop in Dzowulu, Accra, where the B’venaj brand is currently located.
